Your favorite logo?
The Virgin logo has always been one of my favorites. Perhaps I just like the story behind it. I was told in one of my marketing classes in college that the guy that made the logo had no professional experience. Rather, he wrote Virgin on a cocktail napkin at the pub and it bleed. It looked cool and they went with it.
I wrote this article on logo design last year some time and never published it. So this is a sneak peak for the Savage viewers.

Nice, but the coolest logo is Starbucks. Totally recognizable and actually makes you thirsty for coffee when you see it.
The coolest story is that the original image had the familiar mermaid, but she was showing a tad bit too much cleavage. They “nip”ed that image in the bud if you will.
