God, staying put.

“One Nation Under God”, will remain in the pledge of allegiance, for now. The House voted 260-167 in favor of leaving God in. I wonder how much longer God can hold out? Will my daughter grow up without God in the pledge?

Even God is subject to consensus, all those who want to include God say, “Ayes”, all those that want to kick God out say, “Nay”.

Ayes… or, the more standard, aye. Either way I say yes.

It’s pretty illogical to declare the references to God peppered throughout the founding documents of the country unconstitutional… since it was those same authors who wrote the Constitution. But people don’t try and pull this stuff out of conviction or intellectual honesty… it’s out of an agenda.

Now somebody’s going to say “but they added under God later”… yeah, yeah… but the point is that the wackos who are pursuing this are trying to remove any reference to any Judeo-Christian deity out of every facet of the country’s infrastructure. The FOunders wrote God in, though… so that’s what I’ll defend.
